Reno is Renaud Futterer, a French Digital Artist, Designer & Creative Director based in Brooklyn.

Reno's work explores the visual vocabulary beyond mental health, existentialism, identity, and futures, as well as the cross-cultural grammar in the realm of the Alternative, Street Art, Street-wear, Crypto & Degen culture.

With 16 years of experience working in the Creative and Design Industry between Paris, London, and New York City, Renaud began as an award winning Art Director for digital experiences, later freelancing as a Motion Design Director before designing his own fonts, crafting brands, and design systems.

He is now developing his Digital Art practice through World-Building, Web3 and Metaverse Gaming. He is also leading Art & Design at Spatial's Creative Studio.

2007 ー I moved to Paris to study design and dropped Design School a year later. After studying Applied Arts and a short admission at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres in Paris. I started working as a design apprentice under the mentorship of David Ronhel for the design studio HKI Hellohikimori where I later became Art Director. There, I contributed to the success of many award-winning works for clients such as Louis Vuitton, Diesel, Coca-Cola, Orange or L'Oréal. I participated in festival talks (OFFF, MADinSpain) and live press events (Adobe).


2011 ー I moved to London to freelance and switch from Interactive and Webdesign to 3D and motion. There, I contributed to the success of projects for small brands including Nike, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Disney, for renowned award-winning studios such as ManVsMachine, Nexus Production, and Universal Everything. I also took a course with the Pixar Masterclass in London during that time.

2015 ー Co-Founded the 3D design studio Panoply alongside with Mark Lindner. I ideated, designed and co-directed our launch project "A Guide To Happy", which gathered a humble total of a million+ views and press features in Vice media, Motionographer and Fubiz and successfully created and produced high-end commercial 3d motion work for small businesses such as Nike, Louis Vuitton and Mercedes.

2018 ー Stopped everything, and established an independent practice to study Typography & Design Systems. I created a number of typefaces, including the RenoMono free font with a 20K+ download and a five-star rating. Had an episode. Commissioned and co-directed to design the identity of League Of Legend e-Sport Teams (Only the tiny equivalent of Fifa in e-sport) alongside Matthias Winckelmann from Foam Studio in Berlin.

New York

2019 ー Moved to New York. After failing miserably to surrender to the long-term joy of mechanical work and the many glories of becoming a typographer, I was offered to join BUCK as a Senior Art Director to contribute to the branding, design and multi-platform design systems.

2020 ー To respond to the COVID-19 situation, I contributed to helping young professionals and students through free Online Coaching, using a systemic approach to coaching, reviewing portfolios, and self-development strategies. I started to become more and more obsessed with self-development, learning, system, creativity & business.

2021 ー I took a system thinking course at Cornell, launched my own practice, and experimented with content creation only to figure out that the lack of creativity crushed my soul. I then decided to try my hand at NFTs and successfully sold out the Bozo Island in 13 minutes in partnership with Spatial.

2022 ー Developed the Bozo brand, and hacked my way to create a dynamic system to create thousands of 3d NFTs, only to take the path of setbacks that will make my over-ambitious project take more and more time to develop. I then started working at Spatial as a Creative Consultant, helping with developing the brand and building virtual spaces & assets for them.

2023 ー Carried on developing my project, aiming to compound the knowledge and system in place to develop my art practice.
